- Budget pressures continue to be a consideration.
- COAHL will undertake new activities of assessment in terms of license agreements and analysis of usage statistics.
- Based on a recommendation by the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada (AFMC) Libraries Group, the Medical Council of Canada has now included more specific learning objectives related to information research skills within the competencies for the role of Scholar. The members of COAHL will actively discuss and collaborate on this topic.
- The sharing of best practices and experiences is a fundamental benefit of the COAHL meetings and membership. In particular, as undergraduate and postgraduate medical education is growing and developing in our schools, the COAHL annual in person conversations are productive and beneficial for our medical and health sciences programs and faculties.
