Medical Informatics Competencies - Curriculum Integrated Instruction
A series of informatics instruction programs have been developed by the Gerstein librarians in collaboration with faculty and librarians from the affiliated hospitals. The instruction is integrated into specific courses in each of the four years of the UGME medical curriculum to provide a continuum of learning.
Course Integrated Instruction for Nursing and the Health Sciences
Library instruction is integrated into specific courses in nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy and physical and health education.
Instruction Programs for faculty, graduate students and clinicians
Courses are offered in [name courses; remove those which follow which aren’t relevant]Citation Management, Citation Searching, Power Searching, Web search engines and PDA medical content. A focus on faculty development continues in conjunction with the Centre for Faculty Development.

International Medical Graduates program
Each spring the Library provides instruction on electronic resources to approximately 50 graduates enrolled in the International Medical Graduates program. Participants spend 3 hours with Gerstein librarians learning to search for electronic books, journals and databases in preparation for their placements at health sciences centres throughout the province.
